On 3 July, internet retailer NET-A-PORTER EIP Privé, launched a website that can only be visited by invitation and that will offer high-end jewellery and watch brands.
Among the brands considered are Boehmer and Bassenge, Piaget, Boghossian, Bayco, Nadia Morgenthaler and Giampiero Bodino.
According to a press release, the new site aims to “bring back the experience of private jewellery shops into the digital sphere” and offer a dedicated “personal shopper“.
EIP Privé will also offer personalised services, such as adaptations, tailor-made requests and the acquisition of unique items. It promises “safe collection and delivery of the goods by hand”.
Later this year, the site plans to include watches and men’s items, in collaboration with its sister site within NET-A-PORTER, Mr. Porter.
Last year the internet retailer had reserved part of their site for jewellery and watches, with more than 40 brands. Designer Martin Katz had talked about his sales experience on the site.
In June, the company launched Net Sustain, a website dedicated to luxury brands, including jewelers, that ensure sustainable development.
